Healing
As you call out words of restoration, up to six creatures of your choice that you can see within range regain hit points equal to 1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier. This spell has no effect on undead or constructs.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the healing increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 3rd.
This may not seem all that great at healing, until you consider that if you are a cleric with +5 to wisdom you can bring 6 of your allies that were on the brink of death back up to 9 hp. It may not be a lot for a single creature, but the team as a whole has now just regained anywhere from 36 to 54 hp.
But if you can, just use polymorph magic, it technically heals up to 100+ hp but with a different form included.
There are quite a few reasons why you'd want to choose an actual heal over polymorph. You can't use polymorph to bring a 0HP player back up, and it's more like temp HP because when they revert back they'll be at whatever HP they started with. The polymorphed player will also be limited to the actions of whatever the beast can do. Lastly, polymorph requires concentration, so the caster can't cast any other concentration spells while polymorph is active, and the concentration could be broken after a single turn if the caster takes damage and rolls an unlucky constitution save. Polymorph is a great spell but there drawbacks.
Is this like magic missle where you roll once and apply the same amount to everyone?
Not necessarily. It's the DM's call
Druids get healing word, but not mass healing word - HELP
You roll once and everyone heals the same, but some GM's may house rule that you roll separate for everyone so discuss it with your GM to ensure you are all on the same page.
Is their a reason this spell is no longer available for Bards?
It's an optional class feature from Tasha's, so you won't see a class tag for it here on the spell's main page.
Thanks to Tasha's it is!
Hello
Druids can get mass cure wounds. Be that as it may as a Druid I think that I should get to use mass healing word.
